Unlike conventional translucent materials, we opt for transparent silicone rubber for enhanced durability and clarity. After the basic compression molding of the transparent elastomer rubber keypads, they undergo a process where an opaque coating is applied. The first coating matches the desired legends color, while the second coating matches the keypad surface color. Following the coating process, the keypads are transferred to laser carving machines for precise laser etching.

Note: Typically, there is a significant color contrast between the inner and surface colors. For instance, if the inner plating color is white, the surface color is usually black. When selecting a translucent silicone keypad with gray or black color for laser etching, it’s important to note that the keypad may not display laser etched characters without backlighting.
