SILICONE KEYPAD PARTNER
Overview:
The Durable Flexible Silicone Rubber Keypad, often referred to as the Soft Epoxy Coated Silicone Rubber Keyboard or Elastomer Epoxy Coated Silicone Rubber Keypad, features a silicone rubber surface coated with epoxy resin. This coating is designed to protect the keypad’s symbols and icons from abrasion, scratches, and chemical reactions, thereby significantly extending its lifespan. Additionally, the epoxy coating enhances the tactile experience, providing a smoother and more comfortable feel.
The Flexible Epoxy Coated Silicone Rubber Keypad stands out due to its innovative epoxy resin coating, a blend of resin and curing agent applied to the surface of the silicone rubber keypad. This transparent coating provides a hard, plastic-like feel and a glossy finish, making your products distinct in the market.
Key Features & Benefits:
1.Enhanced Durability: The epoxy resin coating significantly improves the wear resistance and scratch protection of the silicone rubber keypad surface, safeguarding it against chemical reactions and extending the overall lifespan of the keypad.
2.Cost-Effective Solution: Unlike the production of custom silicone keypads with plastic keycaps, which requires additional plastic injection molding, the epoxy coating process is much more economical. This method only involves applying the epoxy resin, making it a cost-effective alternative.
3.Superior Aesthetics: The glossy, hard plastic-like finish provided by the epoxy resin coating not only enhances the tactile experience but also gives the keypad a premium look, setting your products apart from competitors.
4.Extended Lifespan: The protective properties of the epoxy resin extend the working life of the silicone keyboard, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
By incorporating these features, the Flexible Epoxy Coated Silicone Rubber Keypad offers a robust, visually appealing, and cost-efficient solution for various applications.
Durable Flexible Silicone Rubber Keypad Manufacturing Process
– Begin by thoroughly mixing high-purity epoxy resin with a curing agent.
– Stir the mixture evenly and transfer it into a glue pot for application.
– Apply the epoxy mixture onto the pre-printed or laser-etched key surfaces.
– Allow the resin to spread evenly across the key surface.
– For larger areas, bubbles may form during the application. Use a flamethrower to eliminate any bubbles and ensure a smooth finish.
– Let the epoxy-coated keys sit for 12 hours to cure naturally.
– Alternatively, for faster curing, place the keys in an oven set between 60°C to 70°C until fully solidified.
– Once the epoxy resin is fully cured, the coating process is complete, resulting in a durable, protected silicone rubber keypad.
